Hi.
I am Jun Osuga, a citizen of Japan.
We deeply agree with and support the recommendation issued by the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) to the Government of Japan on October 29, 2024, to revise the Imperial Household Law.
On the other hand, there was some emotional opposition in Japan, and there were reports that one organization submitted a letter of opposition to the committee.
The group has a strong discriminatory ideology and has influence with politicians.

Therefore, we are wondering if we could submit an opinion supporting the recommendations, out of a desire to bring the voices of a wider range of Japanese citizens to the Committee.
On the other hand, since we have no idea of the means or format of submission, we asked you here.
If possible, could you please provide us with specific procedures or the best contact information for the matter at hand?
I hope that male chauvinism will be eliminated in Japanese society and that traditions will be passed on in an optimal manner.
Thank You.
Jun Osuga
